Compression rod bushing arrangment

in the attached pictures is my left hand comp. rod with the new bushing on the right and the right hand comp. rod with the old bushing on the left, look how did that sinner make the assembly!

on pic2 the sleeves that have 46mm and 33mm which I assume wrong for both refering to Palmer's post about the length being 2 inches=>51mm!

pic3 shows the sleeve with one bushing rubber and see how short it is! it'll hide if I insert the second one almost at the middle of it!

so what do u think of those people guys!

From your pics it looks like someone did a little caster adjustment with shims and shortening the sleeve.

wow, this thread is alive!?

the curved side of the bushing must go in the cup of the body side.

and yes, the car had a caster problem because I found out that it had a fine accident which was enough to deflect the caster angle.

but the sad thing is the car is sold one year ago alsmot.

I've "fixed" caster problems before by using shims and cutting the spacer. It certainly isn't ideal but it works. More or less. There may be a more elegant solution available. Lots of other car have an adjustable T/C rod. Nuts on both sides of the washer/bushing stack that allows for effectively lengthening or shortening the rod without having to resort to shims.
