June 2, 200618 yr comment_169595 Welcome, You won't be disappointed with a Z. The L Series motors are bullet proof motors. I've seen a lot of them go 300,000 easy if well maintained. Plus they are great performers on the street and are a blast to drive. Is it worth $1,800.00? It depends Rust is the major issue. Look it over very good. It's already been said on here many times about where to look for rust. Here is a quick list. -Floor pans -Frame Rails -Spare Tire Well -Battery tray -Rockers -Front Cowl area If all these areas are severely rusted then keep looking. If rust is minor and can be repaired then Yes, It's worth $1,800.00 Best of luck in getting a hold of the seller. Hope it all turns out good for you. June 2, 200618 yr Author comment_169598 Not sure about the batt tray or spare wheel but I found no rust on it when I checked before ... it has 79k miles on it if I remember right ... The doors were locked but from what I could see the int was not too bad ... Would have liked to see the gauges and if it was an Auto or Manual ... If it is a Manual I will learn fast It did appear there was some bodywork but I am no expert .... I have contacted the seller by Email and I am in hopes that my dad will go check it out as he knows alot more than I do .... He should know something by now ... was a mechanic/custom car builder/Drag racer for almost 40 years if not more Fogot to mention there is a pic Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20262-1977-280z/#findComment-169598 Share on other sites
