The 2+2 ones are the ones on the right, I dont think it would be a good idea to mix and match lengths, as it would affect the length of the axle as the end of that flange pushes against the inner bearing and would dictate how far out it sits? Might not be any problem if its only 4mm, infact 4mm of extra length holding the spline may be a good thing, unless it binds up the CV joints and breaks a cage letting the whole lot go leading to a heap of flogging going on.

I checked out the stub axles which are in my car over the weekend and it looks like they have been changed out from the original 240-Z to the later 260-Z with the bumps on them.

With either of you contemplating the swap from your 240-Z axles to the 260-Z axles, once done, would you have the original 240-Z ones available?

What else needs to be changed out to perform this swap? I would need this as well.

Thanks for any replies.

Joseph

Hi Joseph I received my stub axles from Zkid however I'm not sure when I'll get around to installing them yet. I want to get new rear wheels bearings and possible convert to rear discs at the same time.

If your not in a hurry I'll keep you in mind when I finally do make the swap. In all honesty I have been so busy I haven't even checked if my Z already has the 260z style ones.

Cheers,

Gavin.

Hello Gavin

Many thanks for the reply. I am currently waiting to hear back from Mick re a trade with him, ie his 240-Z stub axles for my replaced 260-Z stub axles as he wouldnt mind having a spare set. Just waiting to see photos and then arrange postage.

If something does happen here I would be glad to take you up on your offer, pending confirmation that they are indeed the correct 240-Z style stub axles.

There is no hurry here.

Thanks again.

Joseph
