Chris, thanks for a real good summary of the contenders in stock 240 class.

that, along with Kats detail pictures gives me a good feel for the show. I had heard that Bob had done quite a bit of work on his orange center fold car, new carpet, etc., so I am sure it showed well.

As to judging, your emphasis, with which I totally agree, is super clean, no dust, etc. How about patena? Would an exhaust manifold, after being restored but not powder coated, or painted with hi-temp paint, and developes that reddish, brown patena from temp exposure, suffer in judging, or be a creditable, acceptable mark of originality?

Great pictures, Kats. Did you take any more detail pictures of those top three cars? I really hope that when my car is finished to my satisfaction as to originality, I can make it to the next national show, and we may have the opportunity to get together, once again. Your web site and car sets the standard for all of us who aspire for total originality.

I guess I will have to immerse myself in a continuing quest for those rare, NOS parts for another year and try to forget what I just missed.

It is a good to hear that you are keeping hard to reach your goal,seems you are climbing a high mountin but you will reach on top soon.You set a very strict aiming point,I just hatts-off for your effort.Chris is doing hard work now too,and the cars which I saw in the stock class also have been aiming the same point.

My Z is no longer competition queen right now.I just want drive it,it is O.K gold plated parts is turning dirty and loosing its shine.

I will post a few more pictures which I am so impressed,wait a little bit please.

Yes, I really DO want one of those fat, heavy rice-rocket-stop-light-smoking-babe machines! I have followed all the conversation on this site about the 350Z. I know how you all feel. I don't agree. Check out the spot right here on my pants! The Fairlady is SO everything I think about Z. I conducted a research with smile photo documentation. My smiles are identical. I think a Nismo R-tune convertable with a chopped windshield and those two little roll hoop bumps over the rear deck would be nice. Red, please.

Too funny! In thinking about the future of the Z33 it would have been interesting if the domestic market had received the brickyard red in the first year's production since a RHD Z33 AX8 would be neat to see if it had been built. As I stated before I guess I will appreciate the heavy pig once it becomes a little older. The one thing the factory is doing now is letting one order a Z33 with all the NISMO components from the factory (as in they will be printed on the window sticker) which was not done in 2002 when I ordered mine.

With regard to the stock 240Z class I wish I could have been there in person to see all of the detail as you and 'kats' have mentioned. At the Tidewater Show in May a fellow showed up with an unrestored original yellow 240Z (early '70 production) and it was detailed to such a high degree that I wish it could have been displayed upon an outdoor rack so that everyone could enjoy the many hours spent on the undercarriage. Supposedly the car has only covered about 34,xxx miles from new! I will post some pics when I get a chance.
