Palmer Posted June 9, 2006 Share #1 Posted June 9, 2006 OK, so I'm in the process of finishing up the front disc conversion w/MM's kit. Getting it all back on and, hmmm...there really isn't a whole lot that holds the wheel on is there? Hub rides on the spindle via the bearings, outer locking nut and the caliper are the only pieces of hardware that acutally keeps the wheel 'on' the spindle...or have I totally forgotten about something so obvious that I need to be banned from this place?:stupid:
280~Master Posted June 9, 2006 Share #2 Posted June 9, 2006 Ok you should be banned for life but not from here:tapemouth just silenced maybe the strip club should ban you but not here. You must mean the rotor not the wheel but I will entertain this question. You have to think on what holds the wheel on is better than what holds the rotor on. You got 4 lugs for the wheel but just one for the Rotor. Yes, that is all that will hold on the rotor is the bearings(don't hold $^!#) and the outside nut with a cotter pin in place plus the calliper. You will be fine with this. hls30.com Posted June 10, 2006 Share #10 Posted June 10, 2006 I have lived in Savannah(sans the college years) since '67, and remember hitting PCB 30-several of my last 43 years-my Dad grew up there and went to BCH, and as his son, I have been to more of the "Class of '50 reunions" than some of those in the class, in addition to Spring Breaks, Beach weekends, and family vacations for the last 16 years-not that I have been to LaVela recently-afamws... We will be going yet again this year, the week after Labor day and visit with his sister who is still there.Next year we hope to take two cars-including the Z, the last time I drove a Z down(the red '73 in my gallery), my Dad was with me-made quite a hit with his female classmates-nudge, nudge, wink, wink-Dad was accused of driving a "PU$$Y Wagon" in front of all of those in attendance-he thoroughly enjoyed the roast-and the drive-even more so since Mom had stayed home and he could flirt! Will

Palmer Posted June 10, 2006 Author Share #12 Posted June 10, 2006 Get ready for the new scenery. If you aren't staying at one of the condos that have sprung up like weeds here, you can't see the beach much less park anywhere (public access is non-existant) to get to the beach. The beach is pretty much ruined. The only sand dunes left are at the state park on the east end. This place has really gone down hill with all of the investor flipping development...
