Well I finally found some time to install new bearings and rotors. After spending much time thinking about upgrades I settled for solid slotted and cross drilled rotors.

Some considered options were changing calipers to someting like Z32 calipers but thought it to be too much work at the moment. The wieght issues of the 4x4 Hilux brakes concerned me. Vented discs would be nice but since it's not a track car probably not that beneficial.

So I decided I wanted something that would improve my stopping power when needed occasioanlly and look nice through the wheels. The DBA rotors I got do this and look good I reckon. Pics attached. They costed me AUD$320.00. Still gotta do the rear upgrade!

Stock calipers with stock size rotors. Rear is still stock, hoping to upgrade to R30/31 sjyline rears when I get a spare weekend.

Those are some sweet looking rims. What kind/type/size are they?

ROH (Venturi from memory), 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 rears. They make custom 3 piece wheels to suit any offset.

I'd still deffinately go the hilux calipers - there isn't much difference in weight and the stopping power difference is huge !

Yer I still might go down that track. Has anybody got a weight difference on stock calipers and the 4x4 calipers?

when i swapped mine over i made a little in hand comparison and there was bugger all difference - not enough to warrant not having them!!

Oh if thats the case I'll get em. Seeing it's such a cheap and easy conversion!
