WandererS30 Posted June 13, 2006 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2006 First of all, what is the exact size of the holes in the body for placing plastic rivets to hold on the interior panels?Second, what is a good replacement you use instead of the original plastic pop rivets which are way to expensive. There is an old post about this but maybe there is new info to share.thanks.
SteveJ Posted June 13, 2006 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2006 Define way too expensive. I think they are about 70 cents each through Courtesy and other places.
MikeW Posted June 13, 2006 Share #3 Posted June 13, 2006 I got some replacement plastic rivets at my local paint supply store. They were far less expensive and have the advantage of using a plastic screw in the center instead of a pin that gets pushed through and lost. TomoHawk Posted June 15, 2006 Share #4 Posted June 15, 2006 My local autoparts store (Murray's) has plastic rivets of different kinds, and some had screw centres. If you think they re expensive, buy them in quantities through eBay.
TomoHawk Posted June 15, 2006 Share #5 Posted June 15, 2006 The pin in the center of the rivet is 1/8 inch (3.2 mm)
