can't u use driver mirror and turn it 180 degrees, or is the base angled for driver door?

The base is angled, and the mirror can be rotated, but the combination of the change in geometry and the flat mirror make the use of the left mirror on the right pretty much a cosmetic installation, and not a useable one. Victor had this setup on his 240Z at one time.
