Posted June 14, 200618 yr comment_171026 Does anyone know a place where I can getPart #16578N4201 - Air Intake Rubber Boot with NipplePart #25420N4310 - Fusible Link Cover (I need two of these). The dealership doesn't want to order the intake boot for me because they say that even though they use the right number, they get a boot without the nipple fitting for the return gas. Supposedly, it's a J-Code item which I guess means that dealership is stuck with it and can't return it to the source. The dealership I called has three air intake boots, all without the nipple for the return line and are stuck with them. Another dealership didn't want to order because of the same reasoning - can't return if the part isn't right. What's interesting is that the boot has the right part number, but it's physically incorrect. Can anyone suggest a good supplier who can get the right part (both physically correct and right part number)? June 14, 200618 yr comment_171028 You might try on eBay. I see them listed on eBay all the time....Both with the nipple and without. Helps if you have the Zcar Microfiche CD so you can get the correct part numbers when you're talking to the dealerships.....webdawg1 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20423-parts-needed-for-a-1978-datsun-280z/#findComment-171028 Share on other sites

June 14, 200618 yr comment_171038 You might have them try P/N: 16578-N4710. I'm showing that boot as being applied from 05/77. If they are ordering P/N: (16578-N4200) or (16578-N4201) I can see why they are getting the one without the nipple....See enclosed pictures.... webdawg1 AFM to TB Hose.bmp Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20423-parts-needed-for-a-1978-datsun-280z/#findComment-171038 Share on other sites

June 15, 200618 yr comment_171070 Try here. Shea is a good guy and they sell their parts for less than the dealer. You can call him and ask about the part or just put the part number in and order it. I've never had any problems with them sending the wrong part. And 16578-N4710 is the correct number as I did order one from them about a year or so ago for my 78. The part number for the fusible link cover is B4021-N4200. http://www.nismoparts.com/ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20423-parts-needed-for-a-1978-datsun-280z/#findComment-171070 Share on other sites
June 15, 200618 yr comment_171079 Regarding your need for fusible link covers. Here is a link that takes you directly to the page where you can order brand new fusible link covers. I just ordered 4 of them (figuring I might need to replace them again at some point in the future). I received them within a week. The parts can be ordered from Courtesy Parts (Courtesy Nissan, Richardson, Texas). They are great to order parts from. They have helped me a lot. Good luck.http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=N4200-FSCVR Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20423-parts-needed-for-a-1978-datsun-280z/#findComment-171079 Share on other sites
