June 22, 200618 yr comment_171987 Did a little more research on the 1980 10th Anniversary Z that's posted in the classified section. It apparently has never been titled and has less than 200 miles on it. The dealer in Alabama is asking $150,000 for this car! What do you think? Would you pay $150,000 for a perfect example of a 1980 limited production Z?That is one of two that were sold at auction on eBay a couple years ago. Both of them together didn't go for that much though. The guy is really trying to pull a profit or really just not interested in selling. June 22, 200618 yr comment_171989 After talking to a guy from Alabama(REALLY!) about this, I was given a new perspective. My friend who proudly states and I quote: "I am from Alabama, the Worlds largest trailer park!" said that the seller is everbit as likely to get $150K for the car as he is $5-in ALabama. His logic (which not being from 'bama, and never having lived in a trailer, is somewhat foreign to me) is: "no selferspektin Alabamaian 'd give up a pack of smokes for that car, much less more!-now if it had at least one missin' wheel, replaced by a cndrblock, moe rust 'n paint, and a cutpile dash, we might have to talk! Rare Yard art is worth a perty penny, specially ifn it is the same year as the trailer behind it..." I guess I should say this conversation took place just after closing outside of a comedy club with the headliner-but he looked serious(ly drunk) to me...Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20450-150000-for-a-10th-anniversary-z/?&page=3#findComment-171989 Share on other sites
June 23, 200618 yr comment_172102 Performance Nissan in Everette WA has a 'brand new' 1996 300ZX for sale for $98,000 ... but they've said their intent is not to really sell it. It is a show piece for the floor Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20450-150000-for-a-10th-anniversary-z/?&page=3#findComment-172102 Share on other sites
