Posted June 18, 200618 yr comment_171363 Hi Guys, I have made the descision to sell my 2nd 240K coupe, the one that was one day destined to compete in the charity rally event. Unfortunatly, as much as i would like to keep the car (who can have enough 240K's!), i need to make room. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4652676531 Hopefully it will find a good owner (and a good price, it owes me over $2500 but we all know you never make your money back on cars!) wish me luck! June 18, 200618 yr comment_171366 Good luck! I'm sure it will sell, will be interesting to see how much for though. Judging by recent eBay cars, I think you will be satisfied. June 18, 200618 yr Author comment_171369 heres hoping i just hope that the workshop and parts manuals that i have accumulated will be enough for me to go off to rebuild my other car.. you know what it is like trying to pull something apart and then put it back together.. you are always left with bits left over.. times that by a car Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20455-selling-my-240k/#findComment-171369 Share on other sites
June 18, 200618 yr comment_171427 when it rains it pours i know a few people have done the v8 swap, but i think it misses the point of owning a kenmeri Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20455-selling-my-240k/#findComment-171427 Share on other sites
June 19, 200618 yr comment_171486 Gah just saw this also. A bit grotesque i feel, but hey, everyone has different tastes. But you can put a v8 in anything, why butcher a perfectly good c110 in the process. The buy it now price is 9k??? June 19, 200618 yr comment_171488 SOLD! What can I say? I'm a glutton for punishment. The car looks to be too clean and well priced to let pass by. Not to mention the fact that I know I can trust the seller. Kent has been very helpful in my search for a car from the start and I'm happy that my money will end up going into his pocket. I think the car will need just a few things to become a real head turner. I had kind of given up for the moment after that last e-bay fiasco and while I really should stay focused on the '71, I really feel good about getting this car.Brian Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20455-selling-my-240k/#findComment-171488 Share on other sites
June 19, 200618 yr Author comment_171490 and i am certainly happy that the car is going to a good very home (i just wish i could say i had a C10 and c110!)!! and the money is going straight back into my other 240K.. so it is one more step closer to actually getting finished!! it seems that e-bay is doomed for selling 240k's, they never ever actually complete Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20455-selling-my-240k/#findComment-171490 Share on other sites
June 19, 200618 yr comment_171491 I was hoping Brian would pass by and get the car. It's a much better project car than the other "sold three times one owner car" And probably comes with a better price tag as well. June 19, 200618 yr Author comment_171493 sorry I have to admit, Brian had originally asked me about the car a couple of months ago when i mentioned something about selling it, i didn't think it was a good enough example for him when compared to the $6000+ original one on ebay, but i have to admit, it cleaned up pretty well!! June 20, 200618 yr comment_171597 Nice to see things being kept in the family ;-)Kent, how did you go with your fibreglass moulds? Brian might want a set put in the boot before the car goes ! June 20, 200618 yr Author comment_171600 last i heard (and i emailed him for an update and possibly pricing last night) things were going well, he was looking at making the spoiler moulds first and then fix the damage to my grill (it was apparently twisted a little too, but i built a template (off the original grill) to show the proper mounting locations.I will let you all know when i hear back from him Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20455-selling-my-240k/#findComment-171600 Share on other sites
