tholt29 Posted June 19, 2006 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2006 A friend of mine is selling his F Prepared Z car. The car is damned fast and has beat me more than any other car in the country. It is in need of fresh tires and probably some general maintenance since it hasn't been run in a while...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4652540411&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AITTom

tholt29 Posted June 19, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted June 19, 2006 I don't know for sure, but I think that is conservative... I think it's probably closer to 14:
Ron Carter Posted June 19, 2006 Share #4 Posted June 19, 2006 Interesting car...A little T&C and it would be a great Vintage racer or Autocross car again.Tholt29 do you know what he has for a trans in this car, he indicated custom gearing....is it a quaiffe sierra trans?BTW, is this guy Corky Bell? tholt29 Posted June 21, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted June 21, 2006 Hey Ron, It's not Corky Bell. The trans is a modified Nissan box, possibly a motorport tranny. Reverse is below 5th. I don't know what gearing he has in it. The car and virtually every major component in it was built and driven by Ed Gilfus of http://www.appliedracingtechnology.com/index.php several years back. Ed sold it to Corky, who did the paint. It has had a couple of other owners since then who have maintained it well and recently (about a year ago) Corky bought it back. Regardless of the owner, the car has always been damned fast and relatively easy to drive. Somebody needs to buy this car and get it back on course!Tom
preith Posted June 21, 2006 Share #6 Posted June 21, 2006 Yes, nice ride. It's been featured in a few different magazines as well, an old Zcar one if I remember correctly... I still miss that publication.
spudz Posted June 27, 2006 Share #7 Posted June 27, 2006 Kind of missed out on this thread, and noticed it didn't meet reserve. High bid was pretty darn low for what the car has on it. Mike
