Posted June 21, 200618 yr comment_171789 Hello everybody. Just Registered here. I have owened 2 Z car in the past. a 75 280 and a 78 280. The 75 was a northern car and not taken care of very well. Guess you could call it a rust bucket. But I fixed it up. Being my first Z car, I was pretty impressed with the performance. Damn that thing was fast. The 78 was a southern car, very well maintained, I bought it from the second ownner. I performed a blueprint and balance on the original L28. Amazing what that can do, performance wise.Anway, I havent owned one in awhile, and like missing a beautiful woman, I have thought about her nearly everyday. So now I am ready for another. And I cant wait.So I am looking around for one. Wish me luck!Ric Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20509-new-z-car-enthusiast/ Share on other sites

June 21, 200618 yr comment_171797 Welcome!I too had owned a Z many years ago (a '71 I bought new). I loved it tenderly 'til I sold her in '84. This year decided to find another and managed to find an Arizona '71 just a couple weeks ago.Good luck on your search. P.S. I have found this site to be very useful and the members are quite helpful. June 22, 200618 yr comment_171914 Hi Ric:Wait long enough to find and buy a good one... shop, shop, shop...The 240-Z has been my automotive love now for 36 years. Bought my first one in March of 1970, then my second one in Dec. of 71.... still have it to this day. The Z has been more about "beauty", "fun" and "utility" than performance, at least to me. Of course part of its beauty is its overall performance as a Sports/GT... I'd still rather drive a 240-Z Coast to Coast than any other car...hope you find a good one... good luck,CarlCarl BeckClearwater, FL USAhttp://ZHome.com Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20509-new-z-car-enthusiast/#findComment-171914 Share on other sites
