Anybody recognize this car?

I thought I would see if any club members recognize this car listed on ebay. The owner says it's been in Motor Trend, Z Car Mag.(twice),Z Register (England), and the Local Newspaper. It's located in Maryland. If you've seen it, what do you think?

Thanks

Yes I have seen this car. It is owned by the Prez of The Maryland Z-car Club. It is a very nice example and is the Highmilage one of the twins featured in Z-car mag many years ago. BTW he wants close to 20K for this one

That is one fine looking automobile. It is exactly like the one I bought in 1972 and it looks pretty much like it did the day it was delivered.... at least from the pictures provided.

"I'd be interested to know why a '72 with 44k original miles has the rear hatch glass with vertical lines. Something seems amiss."

The rear glass is correct. There is a misconception that ALL 72's had horizontal lines. When actually the production change did not occur until Dec 71 so that means the early 72's had vertical lines. The VIN number would put it in that production timeframe.

The eBay's Z VIN HLS30-59027, my car's VIN is HLS30-59593...we both have vertical rear defroster lines on our hatch glass

Russ,

I know the #110 color is an kind of orange/red, but this one looks pretty orange in the pictures. Don't know if you recall, but would you say the color is closer to red than orange?

Thanks for the posting,

Bob
