Posted June 25, 200618 yr comment_172255 Here is another example of variation within the series 1 cars. I have two different console finishers, one has the word "on" embossed into the marker switch location, and one does not. Also one has the throttle opening as only 1/2 the slot and taped over while the other has the entire slot open. June 25, 200618 yr comment_172259 My 6/70 is like the one on the right. With the heat symbol being painted and the parking light symbols just embossed in the plastic and not painted. June 25, 200618 yr comment_172273 Mine (10/70) is similar to the left one. The defrost logo is painted, the parking light emblem is not, and the throttle slot is full length, although if you look closely you can still see the remnants of the adhesive from the black tape that covered it way back when. June 26, 200618 yr comment_172348 I just went out and took a second look at my console finisher plate and noticed that my throttle slot is only 3/4 as long as the choke slot. Anybody seen one like this before? Build date of my car is 3/70 but i cannot verify if the finisher is original to the car. June 26, 200618 yr Author comment_172354 Looks pretty much like one of the two I pictured-I'll see about getting some pictures of the undersides. Will Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20550-variation-in-series-1-console-finishing-plates/#findComment-172354 Share on other sites
June 26, 200618 yr comment_172355 Now that I look at it, it looks like the left one without the tape. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20550-variation-in-series-1-console-finishing-plates/#findComment-172355 Share on other sites
