Posted June 26, 200618 yr comment_172404 My early 1970 series 1 & a friends 72 are looking for AM/FM radios that as original looking, but allow for remote CD / MP3 players. Ideally we would like to do this without cutting the radio facelplate. My car has the orig. AM Hitachi in it now - still works... but.... not so good tunes... Also what have you used to gouse speakers in the back?THX!LeeFt Wayne INVIN 02029 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20563-what-radios-that-fit-in-early-70-53-z-wo-cuttung/ Share on other sites
July 4, 200618 yr comment_173322 Your options are plenty but you will need to get an adjustment radio plate to fill the voids correctly....Jim Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20563-what-radios-that-fit-in-early-70-53-z-wo-cuttung/#findComment-173322 Share on other sites
July 4, 200618 yr comment_173356 Lots of things will fit, but few will be "original looking." I struggled with this thought as well, and my solution was to get a vintage AM/FM/cassette deck (in my case a Pioneer KP-8000 Supertuner) that looks proper in the dash. Along with that I will likely use a low-power cheapie amp that has aux input for my iPod, assuming I want to go that way.http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20462 Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20563-what-radios-that-fit-in-early-70-53-z-wo-cuttung/#findComment-173356 Share on other sites
