Posted June 26, 200618 yr comment_172417 Should I be able to measure some resistance on the water temp sensor when I hook up a mutimeter directly to the sensor? I'm trying to diagnose whether the wires are bad or if the sensor is bad. I replaced the sensor about 3 years ago but I am experiencing a hot start problem. I followed the circuit tests from the EFI bible and did not get the desired results when testing the water temp sensor. Any help would be appreciated. June 26, 200618 yr comment_172418 Sounds like the sensor went bad. If it's not reading the way it should it needs to be replaced. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20565-water-temp-sensor-question/#findComment-172418 Share on other sites
June 27, 200618 yr comment_172461 Check for continuity. There should be none when the engine is cold and and it should increase to full continuity as the engine warms up.
