Posted June 30, 200618 yr comment_172905 Is it possible to have the L28's cylinders sleeved to compensate for excessive wear/boring? I understand this is regular fare for diesels, but the gas engines? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20614-cylinder-wear/ Share on other sites

July 1, 200618 yr comment_172993 For the cost it's cheaper to get a different block. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20614-cylinder-wear/#findComment-172993 Share on other sites
July 1, 200618 yr Author comment_173025 THey're a rare commodity here, for some reason (at least in good shape) and I'm not willing to have it shipped. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20614-cylinder-wear/#findComment-173025 Share on other sites
July 2, 200618 yr comment_173029 If they can do it and you find out the cost per cylinder shipping may look cheap! Last I saw it was around $75 + per cylinder and that is if there is enough block left to put one in. July 2, 200618 yr comment_173043 Lance is right, but be careful about buying another block. You may end up with one worse than yours. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20614-cylinder-wear/#findComment-173043 Share on other sites
