Hi I have a 76 280z, I had problems with my previous engine where there was a crack in the cylinder head or maybe the block. Anyway I got a rebuild engine and installed it however it did not come with the flywheel and clutch so I pulled the flywheel off the previous engine and put it on the rebuilt along with a new clutch. Now everything is all together and tight, I try starting it and it struggles to start like the battery is low, but tis is a brand new battery, I checked the wires(pos. and neg.) to the starter and there good, it seens like its machanical not electrical. I even tried another battery and it did the same thing. The engine was running before I bought it, the only thing that I put on it was the flywheel and clutch

P.S could I have tighten down te flywheel to hard

:hurt:

I need Help

:ermm: I found the problem it was a faulty ignition timing. I adjusted it where it will start and run but there is smoke coming from under the manifold near the exust

I think this is because the timing is not right on point the car still runs a bit uneven
