I have always wanted a Z. Found one but wanted to know what problems people have experienced on the cars as common. Any information that I should be asking the seller would be appreciated.

Welcome to the club expresso. Check for rust in the usual places, rear deck lid, battery track, spare tire well, bottoms of the fenders, floor pans. Just look around the car, in the engine bay, make sure everything looks good. Have the guy fire up the car too.
