Posted June 26, 200222 yr comment_9446 I have a 70z that for some reason decided to not start. At first I thought it was the battery. So, I replaced that but now the car cranks well but wont turn over. I pulled the plugs and cleaned them to make sure they wern't fowled up. Fuel is getting to the carbs 'cause when I pull the needles out they are wet. So, I cant figure why it wont crank over. It had been fine up until now. Help! June 26, 200222 yr comment_9464 If you have fuel at the carbs, check to make sure you are getting a spark. Maybe your points have worked loose and won't open. When you pulled the plugs, were they wet with fuel? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2070-wont-start/#findComment-9464 Share on other sites
June 26, 200222 yr comment_9475 If you have fuel, then we assume no spark..Try pulling a plug/wire & cranking it- basically work your way backwards- spark at the plugs, coil, etc Check all the wires & the points/condensor. Its gotta be there somewhere! HTH Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2070-wont-start/#findComment-9475 Share on other sites
