Posted July 10, 200618 yr comment_174015 Hello Fellow Z owners,I have had my z about 18 months. I bought it from a pilot in the Airforce, who was stationed at Barksdale. He was the original owner purchasing on Guam and he took real good care of it. I am interested in establishing waht year it is by the vin number.Spazcar:rambo: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20731-trying-to-find-out-what-year-my-z-is/ Share on other sites
July 10, 200618 yr comment_174017 Go ahead and post the complete VIN. Someone here will be able to tell you more about it from that alone. Also, it's possible that the date of manufacture is stamped on the door jamb plate on the driver's side. I'm not sure if this plate was installed for all models but it's worth a look. Other clues may be found by looking for dates in other places, such as on the seat belt tags. July 10, 200618 yr comment_174018 Well, we probably need more info. Is it a 240Z, 260Z or 280Z? If it's a 240Z, you could try looking through the registry at ZHome.com.In fact, since you didn't fill out the Location field in your profile, we don't even know if you are in the US, or wherever. Or whether your car is a US-market car or not.Or you could simply post the VIN here and maybe we could help some. July 10, 200618 yr comment_174019 when you bought the z, shouldn't the year be on the ownership?( or title ) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20731-trying-to-find-out-what-year-my-z-is/#findComment-174019 Share on other sites
July 10, 200618 yr comment_174032 I would have to say from the information you have provided us it would have to be between the years of 1970 to 1978. Hope you can find out what year it really is. Good luck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/20731-trying-to-find-out-what-year-my-z-is/#findComment-174032 Share on other sites
