July 10, 200618 yr comment_174063 My very late 240, 7-73, has a mechanical fuel pump only, however, the wiring harness at the fuel sending unit has a single wire folded back and the plug end taped to the harness at the factory. N47 head no milled for mechanical.Some do and some don't. The wiring is there for an electric fuel pump. Yes, you can use just an electrical pump, provided it is at the proper pressure.
