Habvent looke duner his car at the tank but does the 73 have an electric AND a mechanical fuel pump?

My very late 240, 7-73, has a mechanical fuel pump only, however, the wiring harness at the fuel sending unit has a single wire folded back and the plug end taped to the harness at the factory. This could of been for the electric fuel pump on the the 260s.

Some do and some don't. The wiring is there for an electric fuel pump. Yes, you can use just an electrical pump, provided it is at the proper pressure.
