I need some serious help. The hood latch release has broken. The handel and the wire just pulled out. I tried pulling on the sheeth but that would do anything. Any idea how I can pop the hood now?

That is a real drag. Many people have installed an emergency release that they can reach from underneath. Guess, I'll have to put it back on my todo list.

Been there and delt with that! Your best bet it to try and de-attach the whole thing from underneath (it's best if the car is one a lift) You can read all about my experince and the way i got it off here:
