Posted July 22, 200618 yr comment_175632 any clues? the stereo is a sony explode yadda yadda yadda, wired to the orig radio hot wire (blue on plug) in my 77. Frame grounded.When ever you turn on the turn signal the radio goes black as in to loose power, it also sometimes does this when shifting into reverse, have checked all connections, fuses, and monitored the power whith a mulitimeter when this happens but see NO drop in voltage at any time!where would you start?1977, 2600 Bored 30 over, mild cam, E-88, header (wraped), Trip webers, Msa areoII body kit, Paint code 232G, Tokico springs and struts, 83 5spd tranny. Low voltage prob!! connected charger to batt prob goes away!This would happen driving down the road also, wounder if this can also be a factor in the shitty Idling prob I have intermitantly , more so when car be running for awhile and up to temp??? August 6, 200618 yr Author comment_177353 Did the 82 alt conversion, WOW what a diff. all those problems went away, imagine that. It also appears to have corrected or at least drastically improved the irratic idle prob so far!
