Good morning to all. As I go deeper into the Z world I have seen topics that there is a voice box within the car to remind you about open doors and such. I have looked at all of my documentation and can not find any on this as to where it is.

At present mine is not working. If some one could time me where it is located that would be helpful. My ride is a 1983 280ZX.

ROFL HA HA!!

The last I saw one of those was on a Dodge Colt!! (*all the Japanese you need to know*) ROFL

Honestly, I haven't seen one on any Z car, but would love to know what year(s) had them! I am still new to the Z scene.

It was either the 1st or 2nd Gen 300ZX that was equipped with the voice box in some cases. I don't think it was a standard option, but there was a 300ZX on ebay just a couple days ago that was so equipped.

Pesonally, I have always wanted to agrue that a tailgate is not a jar-no matter what the car thinks, but then I come to my senses and realize/remember: "there is no winning an argument with a woman." Even if you are right you are wrong, and in this case she controls the timing, the fuel supply, the steering, and the fun per mile vs $ per mile-not a battle I am ready to choose!

You could actually design your own "talking lady" using some simple wiring pieces from radio shack. I was thinking about building a prototype, but decided it'd be too much work.

So what sort of things would people actually want their Z car to say to them?
