August 10, 200618 yr comment_177933 I never thought I'd have to go through so much hell to get a couple fuel pipes . They are good people there though. They don't give up and want to try and make sure they get you the right parts. Just a lot of work on my end though. When I do get the parts, I'll try and get photos up. I know how you feel. They are indeed good people. You'll get it right I'm sure. Keep the faith Z brother! Regards, Chris A. August 12, 200618 yr comment_178188 Hi DZR Sorry for the tardy response, I'm not having the same problem but it is interesting and we have similar cars. I really appreciate any experience related information that fellow Z owners offer. I'm in the furthest extreme reaches of Z territory and info is pretty well only gathered from manuals & the net up this way. Any way I wish you every success in getting your beauti back on the road. I had mine out for a blast tonight - went for a drive around the block - it took about an hour. I can't help it. I'm out of control. Good luck, would still like to see a pic if you get a chance. August 12, 200618 yr comment_178224 Hey Jared, Can you get me a picture of what you need. There are several 280's in my local salvage yard. I'd be glad to go get one for you. Chris A. August 12, 200618 yr Author comment_178256 Yep, looks like yours is the same year as mine Sailor Bob (1977) I'll get a photo up when I can. Chris, Thanks a lot. I did send an e-mail to ZBarn last night when I came home from work. Haven't heard back yet. I sent them the diagram that Courtesy Nissan sent me that I edited to show which ones I need. I'll post it here for you if you don't mind looking for them in one of your Junk Yards. That would be really awesome of you man. Here is the diagram: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21062-well-im-majorly-bummed/?&page=2#findComment-178256 Share on other sites
August 12, 200618 yr Author comment_178265 I did get around to taking photos today. Fuel leak is here at Pipe A at the weld where it T's (You can not see the fracture. Like I said, very very small) I also want to replace pipe D which is here just to be safe Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21062-well-im-majorly-bummed/?&page=2#findComment-178265 Share on other sites
August 12, 200618 yr comment_178268 You could probably have that one silver soldered. A used one could crack at the same place. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21062-well-im-majorly-bummed/?&page=2#findComment-178268 Share on other sites
August 12, 200618 yr comment_178269 Wow, the fuel rail on my 78 280Z, and on my 79 810 are nothing like that. No rubber hoses and clamps on mine except where it connects to the injectors and the fpr. Has yours been modified? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21062-well-im-majorly-bummed/?&page=2#findComment-178269 Share on other sites

August 13, 200618 yr comment_178285 My 76Z had a crack about where you speak of and I took it to a welding shop and had it repaired. That was 15 years ago and has never leaked a drop since. Just another option if you didn't want to bo the Z barn route. August 13, 200618 yr comment_178288 Hi Jared, Sorry about getting back to you so late. I will call the salvage yard tomorrow (Sunday) and see if they're open so I can get the parts. Otherwise I will get them for you Monday. Stephen, My 810 and 280ZX were just like your picture but my wife's 75 280Z was like Jareds. Engineering changes somewhere after Jared's 77. Chris A.
