Most people that seriously consider buying a car from ebay either know exactly what they're getting into, as is the case here with most long term Z vets. But in the case of any newer car where the price seems a little too awesome, it's probably a grea idea.

But when the car is 30 years old...you're probably expecting a basketcase unless it's supposed to be 100% restored.

It really looks like it's in pretty good nick. I'm sure there's some hidden stuff to watch for but other than the dirt, it looks pretty solid.

Odd though...no hood vents. Non original hood...or is there something I don't know?

When did the S30 get hood vents? I thought it was late 76 or early 77? which would explain why that car doesnt have them.

Here in Australia most 260's dont have vents. (note: we got the 260z from 74 to 77, so a 77 260z in Aus is pretty much a the same as a 280z in the US, but with the more powerfull L26 than the US L26, instead of the fi L28. I think only the 76 and 77 had vents).

Can't do it. You can only run a Carfax check on a car with a 17 digit VIN. That didn't begin until, I believe, the 1981 model year. Also, in the US, the 77-78 280Z were the ones that came with hood vents.
