Parting '73, what do you guys need?

Hi guys,

As a long time lurker and relatively new member I thought I would offer up the parts I don't need from the parts car I bought last week. I feel like I owe all of you a chance before I go to ebay with them.

It is a '73 and I am planning on keeping the engine (roundtop SU's) and the bonus 5-speed and most of the suspenson parts.

What I have that is good are the front wiring harness, dash is &^%$ but gauges appear to be good, vent control, heater core etc, vent pipes (plastic)

and a lot more. BTW, the car had a complete a/c system including evaporator and controls. Virtually none of the interior trim pieces are any good and seats are bad as well. All of the glass is good with the exception of the windshield.

Let me know what you need and I will give all of you first shot. I am not looking to make high $$$, just trying to keep some of the old parts where they need to be.

I will also post some pics in the classified section and I hope I haven't violated forum rules by posting in this section.

Thanks,

Paul

BTW, I also picked up a LSD r-192 (190) from a 510 racer buddy of mine. Price-FREE

ONE FINAL THING, for each part sold here I will make a donation to the forum and I assure you it will not be minimal!

I am interested in the original horns as well as the front left middle, and right valances depending on the condition.

As mentioned previously, please let us know where you are so we have some idea if a transaction makes sense for each of us.

Neilkeith,

As soon as I get the diff out, and if it is not one that I want/need, it is yours!

Theianmonster, Gas cap is yours!

Enigma, the base of the horns was pretty rotted out but the horns themselves appeared good. I will get picks late this afternoon and post, they are yours if you still want them.

To all, I am in the Rocket City, North Alabama (aka Huntsville) and the car came out of the Columbus, Ga area and has been sitting for a while. It is a pieced together car, the core support is blue, the front fenders were orange, and the rest of the car was brown. Lot's of bondo and welding on the frame rails. I will get some pics up later today!

Thanks for all of the responses. I will do what I can this week as I will be traveling on business starting the 12th and not back until the 19th or 20th.....Damn, retirement is harder than working!

Nealkeith, FWIW I will be in DFW, El Paso, Las Cruces, San Antonio and Carrizo Springs next week. If I can get it out this week and determine exactly what it is, I might be able to bring it to you. Thanks for the reply!

Paul

Mikemeade,

The release is yours. I took it off yesterday. I do know that the latch end of the cable was missing the attachment and cable end. I think the firewall grommet was still there as well, I just don't remember. Those should be easy to replace. This one was just tied to the latch mechanism and it worked fine.

It sounds like your cable is in exactly the same condition as mine... Sorry, I guess I'll just look at getting mine repaired when I finally get the hood open.

Thanks anyways!
