Mr. K personally signed all 2300 prints... There was a lot of joking about him being held captive at Mad Mikes house, until he had signed all of them before coming to Denver for the Convention that year...

Mad Mike worked for the Printing Company that printed them, as well as printing the "Mr. K" book that was translated into English, and had many additions added by Mike - from it's original Japanese printing.

FWIW,

Carl B.

Wow, I purchased two of these posters less than a year ago...(in the #1100 range) for $75.00 each. Now they sell for $500....

Now if our Z cars would go up in value like the posters have...

None of them have sold yet...

WIll

I'll tell you how great the Z community is: I was given one of those signed posters and it hangs, framed, at home. I got a Mr. K book in a goodie bag for a convention. It comes with a small card version of the poster as a bookmark. Mr. K signed my book in Syracuse with a special inscription to me and Mike Taylor gave me a signed bookmark card in Dallas. Thanks Mr. K! Thanks Carl! Thanks Mike!

Thanks for that answer on the signatures Carl - Mr K must have been ready for a break by the end of that exercise. Now that we know there are 2300 signed copies of these posters in circulation then the only differences would be between the distinctive features of the two series.

Ron, interesting to hear you recently paid $75 for your copy from the larger series. At the beginning of this year I was lucky to win an ebay auction for one of the 300 series and paid a similar amount to yourself although my maximum bid was much higher. Maybe such an item is worth more to someone of my mind set than to others as I was very surprised at the lack of bids offered in the auction I won.

I suppose it is logical to think that we would expect the limited series to have a higher price but maybe not significantly so.

Regardless, I regard my purchase as good value for an excellent item of Z memorabilia.

Up until this post I did not know that there was a difference, and I think I have a friend that has one of the low number prints...so I will go look at his. Boyblunda, glad you got a deal...:)

I have #1174 nicely framed in my office next to Hector Cademartori's original of Zeal.
