Hello all. I just got back from sydney on the weekend and found this. I don't know what year it is, but has the twin lever choke set up. The car itself I have been told has not turned a wheel in 15 years and the guy who owns it stupidly won't depart wih it. unfortunately I think it's stuffed due to lack of care.

seems VERY dead.....fixable if u have a lot of money and time! but the rust on the roof and throughout looks shocking...

to the point....if it has the choke and hand throttle levers, it is probable somewhere around 1971....

Huw

Unfortunately it's not only the roof. I think nearly every panel had rust including the floors as when i put my foot on the passenger floor all i heard was a crunching noise. Just a waste of a car

Hey,

It was covered. Look at the plastic on the ground, the owner tried at somepoint to protect it. Thanks to his continued efforts, there is another parts car where a roadworthy Z should be.

Unfortunately I didn't get the chasis number and was only having a brief look. when i did lift the bonnett though all i saw, was a layer of corosion over everything. i will try and get some inside picks to though.

My guess is that will have a low vin somewhere between 500 and 1500.

There is a similar car (HS30-00634) in NZ with the hand trottle. I always thought that they were only put in the series 1 but it appears that the RHD export and JDM HS30's got them in the first releases of the series 2.

260zed. I think that you'll find that the guy would'nt care. The funny thing is though is it's only 10 metres at the max from his front door. I contacted him last year to see if he would sell it, and nearly had him convinced until he backed out. I reckon he probably thinks the car is worth money, as I ended up talking to someone this year that offered to buy the car 10 years ago when it didn't have rust in the roof, sills etc and was repairable. Who knows what he thinks?.
