OK.. my problem is that the body of my car is shifting off of the frame. I.E., the wheels are more toward the front of the fender than the rear.. a lot. Clearance between the rear of the tire and the fender is about 5". And clearance between the front of the tire and the fender is about 1.5". I haven't a clue how to fix this. Due to this problem, I cannot install my front air dam properly, because it rubs the front tires!! HELP ME!!

How can this be possible ? Have you looked under the car and checked the suspension to see if something is disconnected of fallen off ? Unless the body is so rusted away and the suspension has pulled away from it's mounting I haven't a clue ! Have you recently changed to a different set of wheels that have a different off set ? Or did you buy a set of low profile tires wider than 205/60s ? Gary

The tires I have are 235/60/14. I didnt notice it until I put those tires on. The suspension seems to be in working order. The tires I put on are the same diameter as the 195/70's I took off. My friends think the body kit makes it look like the frame has moved, but it doesn't look like the body kit to me. The body seems to be gradually moving back every day.

There is no frame persay as it is unibody constructed. The only possible explaination is the tc rods or mounts are damaged (maybe someone rebuilt and put tc bushings in incorrectly???). Struts installed backwards? Are the front calipers in front or back of the strut tube? I'm just throwing out wild arse guesses here.. What wheels are you using (possible offset problems)? Can you provide some pictures of the problem? How about with a wheel pulled too?

Post the following pictures

a side view with all four wheels sitting on the ground(pictures from both sides, taken at the front axles-with the steering wheel in the straight ahead position).

the same views with the front jacked up on both sides and level with the front wheels removed.

a picture straigt down each frame rail with the car jacked up on both sides, and steering wheel pointed straight ahead.

A picture of the engine compartment with the front jacked up.

These pictures will show any flex or bend of the chassis that could cause this situation.

When you say it has a bodykit, which one? Post a picture of the kit, or a link to it.

WIll
