AZ Z Stuff

So, I'm new here, know little about the Z and want one (a 240)...

I see many other people are here from AZ. What are some good resources within AZ? Any preferred mechanics (honest ones - I am mechanically ignorant and could be easily duped)? I am in Gilbert, working in Mesa.

Are they quite expensive to keep up? I need an everyday driver. I'm not too concerned about the collectability, but I don't want any huge purchasing mistakes either.

Thanks.

Hi,

I have a 1973 blue 240Z up for sale, Main thing you have to check on this cars is rust specially on the 240z's.I dont like rusted cars since the word v8 was on my head.I have a 77 280Z with the 05 gto engine and my brother wanted to do another conversion so we bought the car and now we have no time to start another project.

The car has a cam, headers, rebuild carbs and some other things. It needs carpet and like all of them the dash has some cracks on it.tires r decent, paint is nice.Only thing not working is the brake lights and I will fix that.I have owned this car for 3 months and have driving it to work every day without a problem. Price is $4300 OBO.

Here r some pictures!

I too live in Gilbert (although I'm in Iraq at this moment) I highly recommend Z Car Source of Arizona, their in Scottsdale. They worked on my 260Z and did a great job, since I was not in Az when I wanted the car worked on they picked it up and delivered it. Also they sent very detailed emails and kept me abreast of everything that was going on with the car.

I notice an Infinti J30 in the driveway (if that's your driveway). We had one of those for about three years and sold it to our neighbor in June. Great car. Ours was very dependable. But back to the Z. I have some interested in the 73 and I'll pass the info on to him if that's okay with you.

Amazing! Virtually identical to the car we recently sold. Down the the color and mileage. It was my wifes car. She has a new Chevy HHR. I'd rather have the Infiniti.

The car has no visual rust on the commun places. It was painted two year ago so I think there is no rust under the paint.

No offense but that kind of sounds like the wording in an eBay ad.LOL I'll still pass on the info to my friend.
