Help with parts ID and rebuild Ideas

I posted a looking for opinion thread a few days ago for input on engine rebuild or swap, this is a addon to that in sorts. I have decided to rebuild the L24 engine in it. I was going to beef it up some but I am trying to id what has been done to the engine before I got it. Here is what I can find as of Number or markings so far, I don't know it was all stock but I can't seem to track down anything. I hope this is not too long.. Here goes.

Block is origal numbers matching on my 71.

Head is E88, has been ported

Cam has Numbers on it as follows.

Front end of cam has - 270.80F MR 5325

Front shaft between lobes has - EPA0

Mid back on shaft has - H12

Back on shaft has C1

Intake Manifold has E-46 stamped on it.

Original SU's I think stock

Stock Distributor with Jacobs Electronics box added.

I need advice and help to know what I have and its potential. And input on performance ideas.

Thanks for any help. Rebuild starts soon!

Ok. Well then you may be pleased to know that we plan to have a Dyno at the show and you may be able to see the fruits of your labor in documented bragging rights.

It sounds to me like you have a Schneider cam http://www.schneidercams.com/cams/50.htm PN 17034 which is sold by MSA as 10-2003 and described as; " rougher idle, excellent performance, pulls hard from 3000 rpm to 6500 rpm". From your description of the E88 head, it sounds like you have a ported, big valve setup. My only suggestion is that you pay particular attention to the balance of the bottom end during your re-build. Balance everything, pulley to clutch, and get your pistons and rods to all weigh the same. That should give you plenty of excitement!

See you at Z-Fest!

You da man! Thanks for the info on the cam, I just want to make sure that I can give all the info available to the head shop. I hope I have it toghter in time to make the Zfest. I registered on the your site today. I got some work ahead but am dying to get back in it and drive. I was reading about the weight thing in a Hoffman book I have, I have a freind of mine that owns a local machine shop and is going to help me do it in his shop. He will probably do most of it but I want to do as much as I can. I will make sure the balancing happens.
