I had my car aligned today and the good news is that it is straight and the uni-body is straight. The rack and inner and outer rod ends are all sound.

The problem is that the small universal joint at the rack is worn and is causing a bit of a dead spot. This is not the one with the urathane bushing but the small steal one further down.

My question being, is this sold seperatly or does it only come with a new rack.

If it is sold seperatly what is it called and where do I find one??

Best,

H Houghton

You won't get that u-joint with a remanufactured rack.

The micro-fiche calls it an "assembly joint steering lower". I have no clue if it's still available from Nissan or if anybody has developed an aftermarket version.

Good luck with your effort.
