Interesting little car....saw my first one in Germany a few years back. I visited their website to see what the Americanized version would cost.....holly smokes $25K !!!!? 60 hp in a 1588 lbs car.....I guess it could get out of it's own way, just not very quickly! The thing has got to get really good gas mileage, I suspect. As I remember, you can turn your head, look out the rear window, and see the ground and rear bumper at the same time.....shoot, you could see a mole on the face of a California tailgater at that distance!!!:nervous:

Tom,

The car will launch here at around 18k. The ForTwo is the only model currently planned for export, and the ForFour is officially dead, at least in the UK.

There is also a roadster and they were supposed to be working on a new model as of yet unreleased.

You can see about 60mpg from a ForTwo. They are quite comfy inside, but by no means are you gonna look "cool" driving one.

Check out smart.com and go to the UK pages, you'll get the most relevant information there.

"Top Gear" did a review of the roadster, and the ever witty Clarkson stated that he was expecting to dislike the car. Then he amazed himself by absolutely loving it. My hope is that it will be imported here. Do keep in mind, Clarkson is in the 6'4" height range, so there is hope for all of us, including you Go240Zags.
