Those little Hondas are not very common here in the states, especially a right-hooker. Can't remember the last time I saw one. Probably 20 years, at least. Pretty significant model, as it was Honda's first mass-marketed automobile.

Pretty tough to find, even here jin Japan. Chain drive, I think . . . . I've seen only one and it's parked in a garage, covered up with blankets.

I've seen a couple of Honda S600's here in Australia. Both have been in need of some TLC, I do have a couple of photos somewhere of some fine examples. My friends mum used to drive a S600 coupe in the 60's, I've seen an old video of her driving it, a nice looking car indeed.

I've only ever seen the more common (or maybe that should be "less rare") S800s. A beautiful car, very fond of them! Really need to see them in the flesh to see how small they are!

I recall an "older" friend of mine telling me when he was stationed in Japan in the late 60's he bought one for $800.00 and drove it while he was stationed there. He really enjoyed it and it was pretty novel back then to have a personal vehicle overseas.

Wow that is one nice litlle roadster i wouldnt mind having one of those in the garage if i were to own at least one honda. In the pictures it makes the Z look big but nonetheless its a beautiful car. I wonder how the comparison would be between that and the datsun roadster was that honda's answer to the roadster or vise versa? Thanks for posting this MoonPup.

Any Datsun roadster, even an old 1500 would kill it in most any type of competition.

That car looks a little 'weathered' so good luck to the new owner in finding parts in the states for that one. :disappoin Lots of work and expense it seems; even more so than our Z's.

And for $9,000 you can get a Datsun roadster that is in good driving and cosmetic condition. I don't think Datsun made that many more roadsters, it's just that so many of them are still on the road.
