sblake01 Posted September 3, 2006 Share #25 Posted September 3, 2006 My total cost was less than 10 bucks, soldering an shrink wrap is easy, no crimping and in total time it took about a half hour.
TomoHawk Posted September 3, 2006 Share #26 Posted September 3, 2006 According to the article, each connector was $12, and you need about 8 or so.Maybe soldering for you is easy, but I would expect to spend an hour easy on each connector, and some time to inspect & redo anything else on the injector harness. and that's if the copper wire strands inside are good enough to solder to. That's why I'd go for a newer or assembled harness. With all that extra wire I have coiled up for each injector connector, I would consider cutting the wire to length first and crimping on new terminals like in the article
jmanz6 Posted September 4, 2006 Share #27 Posted September 4, 2006 I sell the good connectors for way less than $12 each. Holy crap, that's a lot!!!! I wish I could get that much for them. To assemble my connectors takes about 2 minutes each. How you put them in your harness is up to you. Some guys use solder, others use butt-splices. TomoHawk Posted September 4, 2006 Share #28 Posted September 4, 2006 Do your injector connectors have the rubber boot & quick-release button on them?

sblake01 Posted September 4, 2006 Share #30 Posted September 4, 2006 I sell the good connectors for way less than $12 each. In other words, do you sell these connectors and boots which are the ones we've been discussing here. I clicked on your link but didn't see them. If you do have them what's your price? agemeansnothing Posted September 4, 2006 Share #31 Posted September 4, 2006 Sbake01 I bought a brand new pair of 6, and they worked on my car, I bought them off ebay a long time ago for I think $30.00 plus shipping. I think I still have the heat shrink.
sblake01 Posted September 4, 2006 Share #32 Posted September 4, 2006 I don't need them. I have plenty. I was just wondering if the one's jmanz6 sells as the "good connectors" are the ones I pictured. The ones I pictured are far better than the OEM regardless of what anyone says. Trust me on that one! I'm the old fart with years of experience with these cars. I'm not looking for advice or endorsement from anyone on these. My cars both have been upgraded to these. Years ago on the 810 and last week on the Z because it really didn't need them up until then. jmanz6 Posted September 4, 2006 Share #33 Posted September 4, 2006 If you follow this link http://www.rocketdogmotorsports.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=4&categoryId=3it goes the ones I sell that are far superior to the OEM ones. They don't have the boot you think is so great, they have a silicone plug that slides over the wires and presses into the plug body to keep the moisture out. They also have the quick release tabs to allow you to take them off without damaging them.
TomoHawk Posted September 4, 2006 Share #34 Posted September 4, 2006 Yeah, I hate those clips...., I had a problem a ouple weeks ago with the engine idling at 1500 ALL THE TIME, so when I hunted the problem down, I found that the connector was off the Aux. Air valve.:devious:
sblake01 Posted September 4, 2006 Share #35 Posted September 4, 2006 ....They don't have the boot you think is so great...Again, I'm not here to debate the issue, get advice, or endorsement from anyone. I was merely asnwering Tomohawk's question. You like what you like and I like what I like. Nothing wrong with that.
TomoHawk Posted September 4, 2006 Share #36 Posted September 4, 2006 Wright. I'll head out to the so-called pick-a-part, and see what I can find there.
