I had a note there to check/verify if 240Ztt's Z was a Series I or II car... HLS30 020425. I'll have to PM him/her.

I have a 10/70 240z vin#HLS3012658 with an automatic transmission. It has the vented hatchback and behind the roof emblems it is flat instead of a hole. Is this a series one?

Certainly is.

It is interesting to note how many of the 12xxx cars were automatics. Certainly 12403 (funz1z), 12658 (yours), and 12746 (mine, originally). Seems to me I've heard of others right in this area too. Apparently Nissan cranked out a big batch of automatics in October, 1970.
