Opinion needed - use of ES outer tie rod boots

Recommended Posts

Does anyone use the urethane outer toe rod boots provided in the Energy Suspension Master kit, or recommend against using them? They seem to fit OK but might fit a little better by cutting a groove on the inner surface to that they actually lock onto small flange on the outter tie rod end. Any comments or experience will be appreciated?

I was a little leery of using them on my 260. They didn't feel like they would stay on without a "snap" fit. But I used them anyway. Once they are tightened down they are a pretty tight fit. Even when filled with grease they appear to be sealed tight. I don't see them being a problem, but I only have about 50 miles on them since replacing all the bushings.

FWIW
