September 20, 200618 yr comment_183184 it had some dealer installed 5 slots with a press in cap with the letters P/S on them. I later found out that they were marketed by a company in Arcadia, Ca. called Performance Specialties.Thank you Stephen! I've been wondering for quite a while what the origin of "P/S" caps I've had. September 22, 200618 yr comment_183315 I have a set on my car that are 14x7 without screw holes in them, the hub caps press in from the back.I don't know how much rarer the 7 inch wide mags are compared to 6 inch, if at all. (Some brands were 5.5" instead of 6".) Neither are especially rare, but 6" are a bit more common. September 22, 200618 yr comment_183378 Unlike the five-slots which were made by every US wheel company and their dog as well, I'm pretty sure that only one company made the six-slots, and there may have only been one size for the Z. But while I'm pretty certain I've heard who made those, the name escapes me at present. September 22, 200618 yr comment_183404 Dragmaster comes to mind. I know that they made six-slots, I had them on my Chevelle, but I didn't think they made any in four bolt. September 22, 200618 yr comment_183405 I've seen a few old four-lug six-slots, not sure if they were Dragmaster or not. Didn't Victor Laury have a set? September 22, 200618 yr comment_183412 Arne , do you remember my Mags ? If you have a anniversary gold edition of the Motorsport catalog showing a yellow 240 with the same wheels I have . These are the only other set I have seen , that have the '' spokes '' going all the way to the center of the hub. Who made them ? September 23, 200618 yr comment_183417 Yeah, I remember yours, and I do recall that there were a few companies that made those wheels (generally called "turbines" by those of us in the wheel business in those days) without the flat area around the hub. Can't come up with a name right now, but if I think of it later I'll let you know. I know that they WEREN'T Westerns... September 23, 200618 yr comment_183430 Here's my set of Six hole wheels. I was told that they were pacer sport by Les Cannady, but they have no brand info, just the ANSI certification in the casting.http://public.fotki.com/DatsunVic/sports_car_junkie/6_hole_close_up.htmlBTW, the center caps were fitted by me several years ago. At the time, I thought the "P/S" Stood for Pacer Sports. But Steve just gave me the real source in a post above Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21606-old-school-5-slot-mags/?&page=2#findComment-183430 Share on other sites
