I have tore down the engine and head and found ARP Bolts on the head and mains. I have used ARP in the past on V-8 rebuilds and know the tork specs are different from stock on those. Does anyone know what I should tighten down the head bolts to? Stock or different? I know ARP bolts have a different stretch rating so I assume so. I have emailed ARP but no help yet. I hope to have her ready for the Zfest but time is not on my side. I am also trying to identify the clutch in it. No markings but it has a gold housing. It has very little wear on it so I am reusing it. I am rebuilding the engine becuase of low compression on 1 & 3. The cam shows very little wear also, I am assuming that it sat for some time and calapst a ring. I have pics if anyone is interested or can help.

The head torque settings depend on whether you are using ARP lubricant or not. I tried to locate the webpage where I'd originally retrieved the torque settings for my ARP setup, but it seems its moved or unavailable. To the best of my recollection it showed 45 ft-lbs with ARP lube and approx. 65 ft-lbs using only oil. I may be off a few ft-lbs. Just make sure to use some kind of lubricant or your applied torque settings will have no meaning. I've occasionally applied considerably higher torque to my ARP studs because I'm running very high compression motors and need to avoid blowing head gaskets. However, in most cases I think this isn't a good idea if you wish to avoid overstretching them.
