Posted September 25, 200618 yr comment_183648 Ok, I finally got around to having the gas tank cleaned and re-lined on my '77 280z and that solved my hesitation problem. Now I'm dealing with the infamous high idle when downshifting. It was taking 4 or 5 seconds for the idle to drop when shifting into first but now it stays high and will not drop down to the normal RPMs. Can it be adjusted or does it need to be replaced? I cannot find a vacuum leak so I'm ruling that out. If it does need to be replaced where do I find one. I read on another board of replacing the throttle body with a TWM throttle body...I'm wanting to stay stock as much as possible but I really would like to solve the idle problem...thx Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/21694-bcdd/ Share on other sites

September 25, 200618 yr comment_183653 You can plug that BCDD and not have a problem. It doesn't do much. As Cozy said check those links but you may also want to clean the throtle linkage. Make sure its not sticking also you can adjust the screw under the throtle body and make sure your TB is closing all the way.
