i think it would look good and i'd love to have the money or knownledge to have it done/do it to my car, but i'd put in 240z lights and possibily the 240z dash too depending which you prefer. just dont take it to far, i've seen some interiour shots of civics where EVERYTHING is carbon fibre, door panels, the works, and it looked pretty bad, and to glarey aswell i'm guessing, and ofcourse ricey!

and i dont think it would be necesary at all, just like asking that question :D

I can understand changing the appearance of a new car with several examples of the same car in every parking lot if not at every stoplight, but when you will have the only S30 Z for miles or hundreds of miles in most instances-why?

Spend the money on actual performance parts, not what amounts to pre-formed paint. Anybody can add carbon fiber covers or replacement parts, but there are very few NOS factory replacement interior parts-if you want the car to look rare, find and install the Rare NOS parts, your car will be one of the few with out a worn interior, instead of one of the many with carbon fiber used as paint, and not to augment performance by lowering weight on structural assemblies, or required body panels.

This is only my opinion, and the car is yours to do with as you please, but you did openly ask for opinions.

Personally I would not want to make a zcar look like it has any more in common with any ricer mobile than necessary. If the point is to stand out and your car is rare in your town anyway, I'd say carbon fiber would only serve to make it look more like the cars that are common.

Thanks for the input guys I'm still undecided but I do love this car I'm putting a lot of time and money into it it is one of the only ones I've seen with zero rust. not one hole in her and I had her completely stripped. I think close to original may be the way to go

I know what you mean, carbon fiber does look nice. I think it would look best on the rear taillight panel, if done right it will look stock until you look twice. I wouldn't do the dash. The shiny surface will put serious glare on your windshield. Also hard and shiny materials on the interior of a car of the 240Z's era just doesn't look good. Remember it is alot harder to make something look really clean then to make something look rediculaslly outragous.
