Be careful here. Only some Japanese market models had the short steering knuckles. We have discussed the details on this forum several times in the past.

RHD mirrors, if not equipt with fender mirrors. 432 seats! 240 Euro bumpers, which are there standard model bumper.

All Japanese market S30-series Z models were equipped with fender mirrors.

432 seats were exactly the same as the seats in all other models of a contemporary build date ( I think you mean 432R seats, perhaps? ).

The plain bumpers with no rubber trim were standard equipment on the S30-S, PS30-SB, HS30-S, 1S30-S and CS30-S models only.

The 2400 valve cover is ADM, not JDM.

All 'Export' markets got the 'Nissan 2400 OHC' cam cover - not just the USA.

LHD wiring harnesses in Japan? Don't hold you breath. Not very likely to be found I'm afraid.

To everybody asking for "240Z" parts: Please be mindful that the 'HS30' variant models ( HS30-S, HS30 & HS30-H ) were only available in Japan for a short time between late 1971 and 1973. You need to be more general with your enquiries, and perhaps ask for "S-30 series Z" related parts.........?

Seriously, thanks for keeping us straight-I would rather be wrong on something once than even accidently spreading incorrect info over and over.

I didn't realize that only some JDM cars had the knuckles-remember what I said in the first sentance of this post-obviously it applies to my reading posts as well!

The harness I am after would be the harness for the combination and marker lights. Other than the sockets that fit in the reflector housings(I don't know it they are the same sockets used on the USA models)I could fab up the harness if I had a wiring diagram(not that it would be all that tough to figure out from scratch).

I lived in Yokohama/Yokosuka for 3 years and used to attend Nostalgic Garage events and other car events with Flea Markets. One thing I learned was that S-30 parts are not cheap and most Japanese Nostalgic Parts guys know what they have and don't let it go for cheap. You can sometimes find S-30 parts at places like "Up-Garage" but again they are not cheap. I would stop by a old time S-30 specialist up near Atsugi Japan called Auto Zebra, those guys would not let any parts go, knowing that there are not many left. Seeing a S-30 on the road there in the Kanto Plain is like seeing a Skyline in Southern Cally. My point here is: Expect to pay "IF" the part you want is found. As for the 2400 valve cover, I know of a guy in Huntington Beach who is selling a polished one for $160.00.

Thanks for all the info guys. Like I said I will relay this info to him and see if he can dig anything up. Like Montezuma is saying, don't get too excited because the parts are scarce. Also my friend is not a Z nut like us so he won't know all the specific places, but im hoping maybe he will come across one on his junkyard adventures.

I know there are roadster parts still available from Nissan in Japan that are long since NLA over here. If he could just buy from the dealer over there, there is probably a list of parts I'd like to get my hands on.

The JDM Equivalent is 2000 Valve Cover, like I have on my Early Fairlady.

"ADM"? Archer Daniels Midland? I think the preferred term is "Export Model".

Though the Fairlady 240Z did have the 2400 cover---they are indeed rare in Japan these days.

I have 4 need 2 more. I already have another guy in Japan bidding on a set so might get those but time will tell.

Watanabe wheels would be great especially 16" variety.
