Yep, been there, Googled that. I was hoping for something more head on and mounted but I'm afraid that the best I'm gonna get. At any rate, I've decided to go with my first instinct with the solid gold rims at this point, besides, tehy shipped already. :) I'll post pics when they arrive. It may be a few weeks before I get them mounted.

Santa came early! I went with gold rather then bronze. They should look nice with the brown paint and gold pin stripes.

I also purchased the lug and stem kit along with the wheels, but it turned out that they are the tuner lugs and don't seem to fit the taper of the mounting holes very well. Certainly not like a full acorn style lug which has a larger tapered surface. Gabriel says it's not an issue but I am skeptical. Anyone else feel this way or have any issues with this?

Update!!!

The counterbore is roughly 68mm depending on where you measure from. The measurement I took was using a flat edge and done by eye as 2-21/32" which works out to 2.656" or 67.468mm on the most narrow part of the hole, which is kind of hard to gauge.

I would probably err on the side of safety and use the factory Nissan acorn lug nuts. They are a bit pricey at between $3 and $4 each (if you go with the closed acorn and not the open) but hold up for a much longer period of time. Believe me with the various Enkei 92's that I have used over the years and experimenting with Nissan and aftermarket the Nissan ones awlays seem to win.

Look forward to seeing those wheels on your 240Z. That look might be nice on one of my maroon Z's as well or even the silver 240Z if it ever gets running again.

My favorite acorn lug nuts are made by McGard, like the locks. Not easy to find, but they guarantee they will never rust, even if you use air tools on them. (Which you should never do, of course.) Probably no more expensive than the Nissan nuts.
