Saw this car at the SEZ shootout and it was awesome. Belongs to 240Hoke on Hybridz.org and it is tastefully done mixing old and new.

Tastefully done, I really appreciate the total lack of stickers. I think this car spends most of it's time in the garage, I've never seen it driving around Asheville.

I've never seen it around Asheville, either. It seems like I remember talking to the owner once over at HybridZ....if it was the same guy, he actually lives in Shelby.

Check that. It's the same owner, but I had my facts mixed up. The kid that owns it (he hasn't started college yet) is from Mooresville.

Actually, I think it's a nice looking car. I've got no problem with modified cars, but sometimes they tend to be over-done. That one is clean, obviously a Z, and looks to be done right. I like it.

The car in the video was a 260...and a 350 got pretty trashed too in the accident.

Unfortunately most of the video has gone missing (especially the crash). Perhaps it was incriminating? As I recall from watching the video there were several Z cars driving well over the speed limit for the parkway all following each other too closely. The lead car didn't realize there was a curve in the tunnel and spun out.

That is my car, thanks for the compliments. I am actually from Mooresville, NC. I dunno how they got my hometown mixed up. Ive been working on that 240z for the past two years. All the work was done at home in my garage. Including paint and engine work. As for the tunnel wreck that happend a few year back when I was in highschool. I actually didnt hit any cars, a 350z spun out in front of me putting me in a bad situtation and then I got rearended by a 350z. I hit nobody but 350z drivers messed my day up! Also on that same note there was nothing incrimenating about the video, it was a 'no fault' accident. I asked for it to be pulled, simply due to the fact that people wouldnt stop talking trash about the 15 second wreck clip at the end. I made it as a tribute to the car and people ASSUMED ALOT about me and the car from that short clip. Anyway the past is the past, hope yall enjoy the pics of my new car iIve but alot of time and sweat into it.

Austin, I saw that car at SEZ and it strikes me as a great balance between old school, JDM and new EFI/turbo technology. You've done a great job, hope to see you at SEZ in the Spring.
