I too saw Austin's car at Zdayz. The thought and workmanship he put into it, plus knowing that he did EVERYTHING himself, and its not a 'checkbook tuner' really shows a lot about his dedication and pride in the car.

Painless rewire Is definitly not so painless. It however isnt all too bad. I admit I did a somewhat sloppy job on my car. The key to clean wiring is planning and making sure you know everything that you are going to need to hook up and plan accordingly. Its takes some trial and error.

I am finishing up a second rewire on my friends car that I am building and it has turned out 10x cleaner. Very happy with the results. Also using aftermarket gauges simplifies things ALOT and lets you get ride of hte crappy stockers and make room for guages you really need.

Bottom line though I think its worth it to remove all the 30 year old wiring just take your time and it will work out great. I havent had any serious issues tryign to get anything to work right, my harnesses have worked for the most part the first try *knocks on wood* . Austin, what kind of tires/ size are those you're running ?

Hey, the wheels are 16x9 in the front and 16x9.5 in the rear. I am running Hancook Ventus 245's all around which is the widest 16" street tire you can find. There are some R rated rubbers up to 275 and Mickey thompson makes a 255 DR that I will be mounting on the rear soon.

But width is definitly an issue for those that want the oldskewl 15 or 16" wheels.

I guess you could say so - what with all the 17", 18" plus that are now on cars or getting fitted to car. I have almost the same wheels but 16x8.5 fronts and 16x9.5 rears (RS Watanabes) I wanted to stick with 15" but in this part of the world you just can't get rubber wide enough - 225/50/15 is it and I wanted to run 15x9 or 15x10.

Great looking car - and depends on who is looking at the car some might say the whole package is oldschool - think about the for just one minute if you are say 18 years old even that engine is very oldschool, non cross flow, non DOHC, turbo - the engine would be older than you However for us 30+ who were kids/teenagers when the zeds were still new this is a mix of the old and newish. Enough said for now

If they are the normal RS Watanabe offsets will be as follows.

16x9 -13 offset

16x9.5 -19 offset
