240Z in movies

What about that movie "One on One" with Robbie Benson. He gets a brand new 280Z, drives it to California, and lets it overheat. A scene shows steam pouring out of the engine compartment with the Robbie Benson character wondering what to do.

I wonder if the movie producers really drained some of the coolant, and forced the car to overheat? Probably warping the head.

My point exactly.....the ZX was a 300ZX in the "Ridgemont High" movie. Maroon color, I think. The scene is at night, but damn if it wasent sweet looking. Window vents and all.....

Well now, if you will remember, the Fast Times at Ridgemont High movie was released to Theaters in 1982 which means it was probably filmed in 1981 or very early 1982.

The last time I checked, the 300ZX didn't come out until 1984. I rest my case. :D

It was a 280zx. and they were listening to led zepplin.

theres a 300zx blind date? with bruce willis.

Theres a 240/260/280z in inner space, when martin short is out the back of the, wherever, and is about to hop in the shelby mustang convertalble. you see one in the background around this scene.

and I swear they blew up a fairlady roadser in an episode of sliders.

OK, not in a film as such but I did see some TV footage a few years back showing someone stealing a tank from the US army and driving it around squashing cars and things. There was a shot of a z (can't tell which) which had been squashed from front to rear. It looked about 2 feet high !!!!
